Miss Exotic World 2005 , Michelle L’amour , is one of the premiere names in modern burlesque. Since 2002, she’s been seen by more than 50 million people on six continents as a result of her awe inspiring performances on stage, television (Semi Finalist for “America’s Got Talent ” – Season One, Featured on “Sexual Healing” – Showtime) and international documentaries (like Tokyo’s “New Burlesque”, “What a Booty” and “The Art and Heart of the Tease”). Acclaimed by legends like Dixie Evans and Bunny Yeager (who featured Michelle in her recent book ) and highly sought after as a burlesque instructor. She’s teased from Sao Paulo to Switzerland, Toronto to London, Los Angeles to Melbourne.
Miss L’amour is the owner/operator of Studio L’amour, one of the top burlesque instruction schools in the world, and also which is responsible for producing critically acclaimed shows like “Superstars of Burlesque“ and “Wiggle Room“. As an instructor, she’s taught more than 50000 women, been featured in magazines like Woman’s Health and is often called upon by Dr. Laura Berman (America’s leading relationship counselor) to lend her talents to women struggling with their self esteem.
In 2010, her world renowned dance company, The Chicago Starlets, won the title of “World’s Best Burlesque Group” at the Burlesque Hall of Fame.the city’s most successful and critically acclaimed striptease performers. They’ve also taken the stage at every major festival held in North America.
In 2008, Michelle founded Naked Girls Reading which was called “The world’s most provocative literary salon” by the Globe and Mail and has been covered in the press in the US, Canada, Brazil, France, England, Turkey, Australia and more. Naked Girls Reading is now franchised to more than 14 international cities and awards its “Literary Honors” for excellence in writing each year with a cash prize of $500.
She opened the Everleigh Social Club in November of 2010 in order to help further the artistic philosophy of Cyprianism and provide a venue for artists of every stripe. 2011 saw the release of the much anticipated workout video “Tease & Tone” which is now helping women all over the world take a sexier approach to fitness.
Chicago Magazine calls her “The Reigning Queen of Bump and Grind” and the New York Post says she “Brings Down the House”. But most importantly, David Hasselhoff told her she really “Spiced Up the Show!” (on “America’s Got Talent”).
