Gratitude

Ladies and gents, I am filled with gratitude after this past weekend of shows. It was the premiere of my new show, Le Nu, and of my new act, Grand OH-dalisque. I really put myself out there in ways that I have never done before and I am so pleased with the results. I went in a very different direction than what you are used to from me and to be honest, I feared losing you. Even though that fear was very real, I was compelled to create this piece. It had to be done. I love you. I really do, but in the end, the art I create is about me. The fact that you enjoy it is a huge bonus! Yes, I care deeply about entertainment but I will never pander to my audience. As an artist, I’ve always said, ‘Give them what YOU want’. This is the only way to have a healthy relationship with the audience. I am showing you my authentic self and you are responding because you can feel the resonance. We have a good relationship, you and me. I will protect it and honor it and continue to create in ways that I haven’t before. I am so excited about this new chapter! Thank you!
