Nov. 21 – Shimmy Shake – 7-8:15 – REGISTER

Shimmy Shake with Michelle L’amour is all things shimmy! We’re talkin’ shoulders, hips, and booty! There will be a warm up, shimmy drills, toning and a cool down. Wear something comfortable. Heels are optional. REGISTER

Nov. 21 – Sensual Movement – 8:30-9:30 – REGISTER

Indulge in this sensual movement class done all in candlelight. Nothing is sexier than candlelight! Michelle L’amour will lead you in movements that are slow, sensual and ultra feminine. There is no choreography to learn, just an opportunity to get lost in the moment. This class will leave you calm and high on sensuality.

This is a monthly class and is scheduled on Mondays nearest the Full Moon.

September 12 – Stagecraft – 7-8:15 – Register

It’s not witchcraft. It’s stagecraft! I will teach you how to make the most of every space and learn how to adapt your choreography to any and every space. You will learn choreography in class and then we will work on exercises to adapt the choreo to new circumstances. Strategy is such an important part of performance and a great performer is a great thinker. Put on your dance shoes and thinking caps. This is going to be FUN!

Italian Tour

I am heading out to Italy for 2 weeks for workshops and shows! I am so excited! I have never been before. And while L’amour is my last name, I am actually Italian…ok…Sicilian. That explains the booty and the attitude, right!

Back to Burlesque School

The new session of classes at Studio L’amour begins the week of August 24th. We are back to our regular schedule of classes with 4 week sessions. Burlesque Basics is perfect if you are new to the art form. Teasin’ & Pleasin’ will be learning a dance with suit coats, ties and hats. Burlesque: The Next Level is for those that have taken a few of the Teasin’ & Pleasin’ classes and are ready for more challenges. And finally, Burlesque Blues is a class where you learn how to work with LIVE musical accompaniment.
