Back to School!

The Studio L’amour fall schedule is now available for registration! Sexy jazz with Hot Toddy is back for the fall, so if you missed it over the summer, you’ve got a second chance! And the specialty class returns with a class especially for your booty! This 6 week class is gonna rock your backside so make sure to get your ass to class! And, don’t forget about Tease & Tone. This is one of my favorite classes that combines straight up fitness with fun burlesque moves. Gym shoes and a mat are recommended for this class.

Never taken burlesque before? Try our 4 week intro class, Basic Burlesque. Here you learn the 4 basic elements of burlesque: the walk, bump, grind, and shimmy. Just wear comfortable clothes. Heels are optional.

BIG SEXY SHOW – FEB. 11 – 2 SHOWS

Make your Valentine’s Day plans early, as this show sells out every year!

I will be doing a WORLD premiere act and The Chicago Starlets will be doing 2 new group acts. Solos will be performed by Lady Ginger, Frenchie Kiss, Kami Oh, Vivian Velvet, Lily Bloom, Stella LaRocque, and our newest addition, May Oui! There will also be variety acts like beat box sensation, Yuri Lane, and comedy duo, Parker and Seville. BIG SEXY SHOW also stars Hot Toddy, King of Burlesque 2009. We are doing 2 shows on February 11th, 8:30pm and 11pm at the Music Box Theatre. Tickets are $25 or 2 for $40 in advance. There are VIP tickets for $100 that include preferred seating and a bottle of champagne. Drinks will be available in the lobby of the Music Box Theatre, an addition we are all very excited about! The Superstars Are Coming!

Prepare for burlesque royalty! The Superstars of Burlesque are back and heading to Chicago on September 16th! Performing at the Park West in 2 shows only (8 and 10pm) are Julie Atlas Muz, Kalani Kokonuts, Hot Toddy, The Stage Door Johnnies, Dirty Martini, Tigger!, The Chicago Starlets, Indigo Blue, Trixie Little and the Evil Hate Monkey, Roxi D’Lite, and me! All hosted by Mr. Showbiz, Murray Hill! Each performer is a Burlesque Hall of Fame Title Holder. Dance class focusing on the 40s/50s style dance, using isolation, jazz technique, and Fosse style dance movements that can be used to bring extra style to your burlesque routines.

What happens in Dayton…

On Nov. 21st, I’m heading to Dayton, OH to teach a workshop and do a show. I will be on a road trip with Mimi First, Lily Bloom, and Sir Hot Toddy. Everything will be happening at Kira’s Oasis and details can be found here.

Then, on Black Wednesday, Nov. 25, myself and the Starlets will be performing at Villains Bar and Grill, here in Chicago.
