Spring keeps teasing us! Maybe we should tease too! Get your tease on at Studio L’amour! New classes start the week of March 7th.

This session we are working with hand fans, gloves and a flowing skirt in the Teasin’ & Pleasin’ class and in The Next Level. Jett Adore is back with a brand new class called ‘Exploring Masculinity’. This class welcomes the gentleman performer as well as ladies and all genders who wish to explore masculine shades in their performance and process. We also have guest instructor, Tila Von Twirl, teaching her signature stretch class on Monday nights. And that’s not all! Tease ‘n’ Tone is back with me! Register

Moving on Up!

Studio L’amour is moving to a new location!! We have spent almost 7 years in the West Loop and it is time for a change. Starting March 30, our new address will be:

4001 N Ravenswood Suite 205 Chicago, IL 60613

We will be located in a great building filled with other artists of various disciplines. We think this will create a better environment for creativity. The building is in a safe location and our studio will be located on the 2nd floor and it will still be a secured entrance (buzzing up to the unit). There is also PLENTY of free street parking right in front of the building as well as on the side streets in the neighborhood. There is also paid parking all along Irving Park Road. If you take the train, we are immediately off the the brown line stop at Irving Park. The Metra stop is also near at Lawrence and Ravenswood. If it’s a bus you prefer, we’re right off the Irving Park bus route.

We will begin classes in this new location on MARCH 30. The new schedule is now up for this new location. April 2015 features Fan Dancing, Tease & Tone, PilaTEASE and the return of Saturday classes! Registration is now available for all classes.

Please note that we will finish the March 2015 schedule of classes in our current location, 939 W Randolph.

Back to Burlesque School

The new session of classes begins the week of August 25th at Studio L’amour. Coming up this fall, I will be teaching ‘Tricks of the Tease’, a 4 week class on learning tricks and learning when to incorporate tricks. My burlesque inspired fitness class, ‘Tease & Tone’ is back right after Labor Day and Sammich the Tramp comes in to teach ‘Finding your Funny’, a class dedicated to pumping up the comedy in your acts.

The props for beg/int and int/adv burlesque will be nighties, stoles and a long strand of pearls (or a long necklace).

Back to School!

The Studio L’amour fall schedule is now available for registration! Sexy jazz with Hot Toddy is back for the fall, so if you missed it over the summer, you’ve got a second chance! And the specialty class returns with a class especially for your booty! This 6 week class is gonna rock your backside so make sure to get your ass to class! And, don’t forget about Tease & Tone. This is one of my favorite classes that combines straight up fitness with fun burlesque moves. Gym shoes and a mat are recommended for this class.

Never taken burlesque before? Try our 4 week intro class, Basic Burlesque. Here you learn the 4 basic elements of burlesque: the walk, bump, grind, and shimmy. Just wear comfortable clothes. Heels are optional.
