Showgirl Style

Thank you for a fantastic birthday week and for coming out to my birthday show at Untitled. I LOVE jumping out of cakes!

Now, there are lots of fun things going on this week, not to mention my fresh excitement about dancing! I went to a ballet class for the first time in years last night and I’m just buzzing about it. But, more on that some other time.

First, my new TeaseTip is up at BurlyQ.com. It’s all about what is takes to follow your dreams and how important the ‘hustle’ is when you’re in the arts. I’m really enjoying writing these expanded Tease Tips, so I hope you will check it out.

Second, on April 23, Studio L’amour is having another Studio L’amour Teaser! This is a showcase of students, teachers and performers from the Chicago cabaret scene. It’s a very informal gathering to encourage the growth and development of acts in our city. I’ll be hosting, and that is always a fun time! Hope to see you there!

Finally, the new session is now available for Studio L’amour. Classes begin again on May 1st. I’ll be teaching a new class called ‘Showgirl’. It’s going to be an hour of parading, posing and prancing! Make sure to register for this and other classes here.
