The Superstars Are Coming!

Prepare for burlesque royalty! The Superstars of Burlesque are back and heading to Chicago on September 16th!  Performing at the Park West in 2 shows only (8 and 10pm) are Julie Atlas Muz, Kalani Kokonuts, Hot Toddy, The Stage Door Johnnies, Dirty Martini, Tigger!, The Chicago Starlets, Indigo Blue, Trixie Little and the Evil Hate Monkey, Roxi D’Lite, and me!  All hosted by Mr. Showbiz, Murray Hill! Each performer is a Burlesque Hall of Fame Title Holder.   [Tickets] are available now online, or IN PERSON at Studio L’amour, the Park West box office or Taboo Tabou!

Then on September 17th, we have Superstar Workshops at Studio L’amour!  There are 4 spots left for Hot Toddy and Kalani Kokonuts.  [Register] now!

6pm-7pm: “Jazz Dancing for Burlesque” with Hot Toddy

Dance class focusing on the 40s/50s style dance, using isolation, jazz technique, and Fosse style dance movements that can be used to bring extra style to your burlesque routines.

Costuming and Presentation

Studio L’amour Action

The LAST BASIC BURLESQUE session of the year begins the week of Nov. 15 at Studio L’amour.  Registration is available now!  The next session will begin in Jan. 2011.

Need a gift idea for someone special or a special treat for yourself?  Come to the Boudoir Photo Workshop on Nov. 13, 2-6pm!

The focus of this workshop is a little different than that of a ‘pin up’ workshop.  We will work to create a sensual environment for you and the poses are a bit more relaxed.  Jeff Millies (aka PEZ) is your photographer, I will help you pose, and Mimi First and Vivian Velvet will be doing finishing touches on hair and makeup.  We will shoot one look, that means one outfit.  We will take many shots and won’t stop till we get a few for you to choose from.  Registration is limited to 10, so if you’re interested, register soon!

Oh, we have something for the men too this month!  Ray Gunn from the Stage Door Johnnies is back with Nuts & Bolts on Nov. 21.

The focus of this workshop is a chair dance. Chairs will be provided.  Limit 15.  Registration available now.

BIG SEXY SHOW – Oct. 9

It’s BIG!  It’s SEXY!  It’s a SHOW!  It’s BIG SEXY SHOW!  Featured soloists are Mimi First, Frenchie Kiss, Lady Ginger, Kami Oh!, and Vivian Velvet. We’ve also got the Stage Door Johnnies and variety acts like Sonya, the belly dancer, Karen Paurus, the songstress, and Almas, the man of strength. I will be bringing La Panthere back to Chicago since its premiere in February.  All hosted by the charming Pierre Jean-Pierre St. Pierre.  Shows are at 8 and 10:30pm at the Mayne Stage Theater.
